Some electrical problems can’t wait for a slot next week: the whole flat has gone dark, the fuse board trips the moment you reset it, a socket is sparking, or there’s a smell of burning and you can’t find where it’s coming from. Call or WhatsApp us — we’ll tell you straight away whether we can get to you today, and what to do in the meantime.
Because we’re based in Hammersmith we can usually reach W6, W12, W14, W4, SW6 and the neighbouring postcodes quickly, and urgent faults go to the front of the diary. One of our Checkatrade reviews describes exactly that: called out for a lighting fault, on site quickly, fault found, circuit tested and fixed in about an hour.
We are a small NICEIC registered firm, not a national call centre. That means the person you message is the person who turns up — with a van full of the parts that fix most faults on the first visit, and the test equipment to prove the installation is safe before we leave.

If something is smoking, sparking or hot to the touch, switch the whole installation off at the main switch on your consumer unit and don’t turn it back on until it’s been looked at. If you can see flames, get out and call 999. If the whole street is dark, it’s a supply fault — call 105 (free, UK-wide) to reach your network operator. If only your property is affected, that’s us: call or WhatsApp with a photo of the fuse board and we’ll take it from there.
We won’t promise a 24-hour hotline we can’t staff, and we won’t send someone who isn’t qualified. Urgent faults are prioritised through the working day and we reply to out-of-hours messages as soon as we’re up. If your emergency is at 3am, make the installation safe using the steps above and message us — you’ll have a reply first thing.
